About me

Aloha! My name is Joy Aili Roach. Originally from Boston, MA, and over 20 years in NC. My son and I arrived in Kaneohe in the fall of 2018, and quickly fell in love with  the community that is the heart of Kaneohe.

I began my bookkeeping journey employed by small family run businesses in NC. I created orders, managed inventory, handled daily deposits, invoices, sales and vendor payments. From waiting on customers, handling inventory, to calling in payroll, I have done it all. I have seen how the bigger box stores and larger corporations made it challenging to keep the family owned business alive.

With the birth of my son, I transitioned to 15 yrs with a local environmental government agency in NC, managing their department budget of over 1.5 million, writing and overseeing contracts with vendors and State/Federal Agencies. I handled all aspects of accounts payables and receivables. Coordinating between various departments and supervisors was essential. I loved what I did, but I always missed working with the small mom and pop businesses. Family businesses have a heart and desire to better the community that is sadly absent in government.

When we moved to Kaneohe in the fall of 2018, I hoped to go back to my roots - support the family owned businesses that are the center of any strong community. For a year and half I was a contract bookkeeper and consultant, then I took the leap and formed DreamKeeper, LLC early in the pandemic. My clients now include restaurants, contractors, pet services, flower shops and even personal finance organization. From Kaneohe to Honolulu, Oahu to Maui, entering daily transactions to moving a 401k, I do my best to meet my clients needs.
